Employment Opportunities

The Magnolia Police Department hires auxiliary officers on a periodic basis. There are advancement opportunities after experience is gained. We are not a civil service department, but instead use a system of ride-along interviews. The applicant will accompany several on-duty senior officers during their routine patrol. This gives members of the department a unique and accurate feel of the applicant's eligibility for active duty.
